Holistic Recruitment
Guidelines
Instead of conventional questionnaires
and interviews, the holistic process observes the candidate's personality
and the level of interaction with their potential colleagues.
These guidelines provide a
basis on how to initiate an effective holistic recruitment campaign.
It consists of three stages: The Preparation Stage, Observation Stage,
and the Deciphering Stage.
The Preparation
Stage clarifies the purpose of hiring, revises job description
and prepares the documents to be used during process. Questions are
used to engage the personality. Existing staff also play a role in
the process.
The Observation Stage
observes how the candidate interacts with potential colleagues and composes
themselves and takes the place of the conventional interview. A formal
tour and conversation with would-be colleagues followed by a one-on-one
interview takes place.
The Deciphering
Stage recounts the overall impressions and renderings
from the interaction with the candidate. Each participating staff
member gives their feedback to the lead interviewer, details retrieved
from the one-on-one interview are considered in order to aid in the
final hiring decision.
It combines several selection
tools into the process. Personality, working samples and mock scenarios
engage the candidate's experience and ability to problem solve in
actuality.
Benefits & Contact
Involving the candidate on a more in depth
level permits colleagues and the interviewer to see what the candidate's
performance actually consists of. It also increases participation
as staff are more directly involved in the hiring decision.
