Does communication seem like a foreign concept in your organization?

How often have you tried to send out a message or communiqué to specific people only to have them come to you saying they didn't receive it at all. This was after the fifth time sending it to them too. Or perhaps the message wasn't interpreted correctly as the ability to determine tone or intent of the message wasn't correctly executed.

Communication is such a common factor but much maligned in any environment we encounter during our time here on Earth.

In working relationships, communication is essential as it serves as the vessels to your organization's survival and growth. So, then, why is it taken for granted or totally butchered during its expedition.

How can you fix this problem? Simply by choosing the right medium - or method - to send your message in order to maximize its interpretation rate and ensure it gets to the right people.

For important messages that contain queues pertinent to a direct situation, use face-to-face methods or ones that allow for tones to be deciphered properly. For more informal communication, such as news updates or information about new products, services or internal affairs, newsletters with colourful font, designs and photos are an excellent selection.

These are just examples on how to increase the chances of your messages being properly received, deciphered and understood.

Otherwise, they're just wisps in the wind.

"A tragedy is a representation of an action that is whole and complete and of a certain magnitude. A whole is what has a beginning and middle and end."
