If you were asked to identify
your organization's personality, how would you describe it?
Organization's personality
is what ultimately helps set it apart from other organizations of its
kind in the eyes of jobseekers, staff and customers.
An organization with a multimillion
dollar revenue may not have as lush a personality as the smaller organization
with only a few hundred thousand in revenue.
Personality marks the unique
"life" and attitude it portrays to its staff and any visitor
that comes in contact or close proximity of it.
How do you develop personality?
Culture, signs, symbols, stories, legends...all of these contribute
to personality and the manner by which it presents itself on the world
stage.
A strong company personality
reflects itself on the staff: the stronger and more vibrant the personality,
the stronger and more vibrant the staff feel and exert themselves whenever
they talk about or work in the company.
You wouldn't associate or
become friends with someone who has no personality. Why would you promote
or work with an organization that lacks one as well?
